He is the son of the late guitarist and multi Grammy Award winner, Ali Farka Toure. Ali is a legend in Mali and one of the most celebrated musicians to have come out of Africa. Against his father's wishes, Vieux chose the path of music. In 2006, he partnered with a young music producer from NY and recorded his debut album, just as his father passed. Rooted in the traditional music of his father and moved by popular sounds from around the globe, today he is at the cutting edge of world music and is reaching audiences worldwide. See less
