They view a copy of the "Book of the Beginning" stored in the city library. Zola goes through the contents of the book, explaining that Shu and the others are descendants of the Seven Soldiers of Light that saved the world. Meanwhile, Nene utilizes his air fortress to begin his invasion. His first target: Jibral. The air fortress' main weapon instantly destroys all of Jibral. The Group is completely unaware of what has happened to Jibral. After the discussion in the library, Shu leaves the city by himself and summons Blue Dragon... , asking him why he fights, as he tries to understand what General Logi meant when he spoke about trusting one's shadow. Blue Dragon tells Shu that it is up to him to build the trust. Soon after, the GranKingdom army attacks. Having witnessed the Gran Kingdom's assault, Shu tells Blue Dragon his own reasons for fighting. Shu's own hesitation begins to disappear and he decides to face off against the enemy. His newfound confidence feeds into Blue Dragon, subsequently allowing Blue Dragon to illustrate his power. However, Shu's actions alert General Logi that the group is still alive.
