Contrary to DWTS, where the Stars compete for the mirror trophy, each Latino Star chooses a cause or foundation of their preference to dance for throughout the competition. The charity organization receives a donation of $5,000 (USD) whenever a Star is voted out of the competition. There are three finalists in the grand finale which are chosen by the viewers. Third and second place each receive a $15,0000 (USD) check towards the cause of their choice and the winner gets a check for $25,000 (USD) towards the cause they have chosen. Written by
