The pride hitches a ride with a monster mind transport ship to follow them to the planet. Jayce discovers the lab but activates a self-destruct mechanism. They try to leave the planet but the Pride is surrounded by Monster Minds. Jayce stops the countdown when he realizes the root is the key. The vine-stopper weapon needs a special fuel which is unobtainable. After chasing the Monster Minds away, the Pride takes off, but Jayce returns to the lab to reactivate the self-destruct mechanism so that Saw Boss cannot reprogram his father's work and use it for evil.
