Cha Eunsuk is irate that, without even consulting her or proposing, Kim Junsung announced to the press that they are engaged. Eunsuk is resolved to remain faithful to Mingu despite his disappearance, but her parents want her to forget Mingu and marry the wealthy Junsung. At the hospital, Bokgu finds out that his brother Mingu is in a vegetative state. When he goes back to Mingu's apartment, he discovers photos that reveal a romantic relationship between Mingu and Eunsuk. He believes that Eunsuk must have rejected his brother when a wealthier suitor came along. Bokgu is angry that his brother would throw his life away and abandon him for the sake of a fickle girl.
