He biked over 250km to get to a port city, where he and a few people took a boat from dry dock to sail to Sweden, one stormy night. Edgar then immigrated to Canada, travelling around the country to work as a seaman and handyman to earn a living. This 15-minute documentary was not only made to serve as a memento of my grandfather, but was also meant to symbolize a larger story of European immigrants, during and after WW2. Written by
