Instead of the diplomat, who knows nothing about his visit, a Russian secret service team awaits him and little Manja. Before the kidnappers catch him, Kolja disappears a data stick and hides Manja in a rental car. When the police discovered the girl shortly afterwards, there was no trace of the kidnapped man. However, a phone number that Kolja wrote on Manja's arm leads to Karla. She is surprised to hear from him after a long radio silence, but takes his daughter into her home. While her boyfriend Jan takes care of the girl, Karla supports the crisis team, including the BND officer Weimer. It is found that Kolja is being held at the Russian embassy. When State Secretary Wagner put pressure on foreign policy, the Russian state media sent a surprising explanation: Petrov is said to have fled because he murdered his wife in St. Petersburg. Karla, who has known the suspect since childhood, thinks this is an excuse. In fact, he had evidence of Russian influence by their secret services on important political elections in Germany, which are supposed to be covered up . Written by ARD Das Erste See less
