Since its inception in 2006, CMETrust (the Canada-Mathare Education Trust) has financed secondary school scholarships for 38 students from Mathare. For these young people, the possibility of an otherwise unaffordable secondary education means not simply an opportunity for personal advancement, but an opportunity for the betterment of their entire community. Through the collected voices of the teachers, students, volunteers, and scholars of Mathare, "CMETrust: Together" demonstrates not just the pressing need for education in the slum, but what it can accomplish for the community as a whole.
