She tells him that Jack beat her up regularly with a belt, but that she refused to cry. She says that she always went to the cabin in the woods when she wanted to be away from her uncle. When Michael hears that Jack even went as far as sexual abuse, he promises her that she won't have to go back to him. He contacts Steven to help him prohibit Rachel from having to return to Jack, but he is too drunk to help. Steven later lets out all his anger towards Peyton to Betty.
