His bleak existence is turned upside down the day he encounters a strange creature near his cabin. This creature is the Raven. As the days go by, Akian bonds with this mythical being who constantly tells him legends and he gradually finds comfort and value in this budding friendship. In the amazing stories the Raven tells him about courage, loneliness, fear, and even love, Akian finds what he needs to better cope with his own life and to become a modern-day conduit of Aboriginal culture.
