His owner fears that he has choked on a cow's ear. Veterinarian Stephanie Petersen, however, has a completely different suspicion: she suspects kennel cough - an upper respiratory disease in dogs, comparable to a flu infection in humans. On the island of Sylt in particular, the four-legged friends quickly infect each other due to the large dog population. Labrador Bonnie, Stephanie Petersen's father-in-law's dog, has also contracted kennel cough and visits her practice. The vet is also needed on her own farm. Four young racing pigeons are to be vaccinated to prevent a muscle disease.
