Island veterinarian Stephanie Petersen has already uncovered the most astonishing objects that have been swallowed by dogs. The team is preparing for the operation with great concentration. Can the needle be removed without complications? Injured puppy An injured puppy is waiting for Dr. Yasmin Diepenbruck on the Moselle: Stubbie, the border doodle, tripped over his own leash while playing, and now the cute four-legged friend is limping. During the examination at the veterinary practice in Bernkastel-Kues, the eleven-week-old puppy howls loudly - his leg seems to be in a lot of pain. Dr. Yasmin Diepenbruck has to X-ray Stubbie to get a more detailed diagnosis. The X-rays confirm the suspicion: Stubbie's forearm is broken. Veterinarian Dr. Tobias Neuberger, who specializes in surgery, recommends putting the leg in a cast. An operation is not necessary in this case. Even a horse needs help Dr. Yasmin Diepenbruck then goes on a "house call" to the paddock between the vineyards. The horse Shagyll has a stomach ache. The three-year-old stallion is extremely shy. With a lot of sensitivity and encouragement, the experienced veterinarian manages to examine Shagyll. A new practice dog for Dr. von Manteuffel The Hamburg veterinary practice of Dr. Fabian von Manteuffel has a new practice dog. The Labrador puppy Groot belongs to the veterinary assistant Rachel von Berg, who wants to introduce her sweet four-legged friend to her colleagues for the first time today. Nine weeks ago, Rachel's old Labrador Bismarck had to be put down. A painful loss for the experienced dog owner - a new phase of life is now to begin with Groot. Fabian von Manteuffel does the first very emotional puppy check. Home visit to a budgie In the afternoon, the Hamburg vet pays a home visit to an elderly lady across the street. Her budgie Butschi urgently needs to have its beak trimmed. To avoid stress for the budgie, the vet has to catch the bird as quickly as possible.
