After dark, Kelly and Pearl search Dr Rawlings's office and find tapes of reports concerning Kelly. Cruz asks for the files of different business on which Keith worked on for one year. Gina makes Keith understand that she knows that he is having an affair with Santana, and that she could use this information to recover Brandon. Keith goes to the beach house. He uses Cruz's absence to kiss Santana, while Gina spies on them by the window. By threatening them with her weapon, Sheila demands that David admits that he isn't in love with Julia and that he used her for his trial. Stunned David says that he has always loved only one woman: Madeline. He accuses Sheila of having killed his wife, while Sheila is persuaded that it was him. Julia manages to disarm Sheila, but she grabs the gun. Cruz arrives and arrests Sheila and David. At the police station in Santa Barbara, he decides to let them go, being persuaded that they are both innocent persons of Madeline's murder. David leaves Julia, in tears. Mary and Mason learn that the cancellation of her marriage will take one year, and that the priest needs to get into contact with Mark. Mason takes the telephone to find Mark, who has left abroad.
