We begin our travel in Lisboa, where the river Tejo enters in the Atlantic sea: we take the tramway number 28 to cross the old town (cathedral, casas de fado , pastries shop, castle ...See morePortugal is a country with a great natural diversity !. We begin our travel in Lisboa, where the river Tejo enters in the Atlantic sea: we take the tramway number 28 to cross the old town (cathedral, casas de fado , pastries shop, castle of St-George, statue of Pessoa).Then we go to Sintra where we see el Palace de la Pena and also the Palace of Sintra: near we see the Cabo de Roca and some beaches (surfing). then we go to the town of Bidos, first a Roman town, then rebuild by the Moors.Next stop : Coimbra ,the first capital of Portugal, a famous university with a great library.Near Coimbra the most important Roman site of Portugal, Conimbriga with interesting mosaics.Then we arrive at Aveiro , an important port which has been covered by sands, now the town is like a little Venice with its canals.Then Porto, the second town of Portugal, also located at the mouth of the Douro.Following the river we shall visit the vineyards which produce the famous Port wine.Next stop: Braga , the third town of Portugal and near the river Mihno , natural border between Portugal and Spain.In this area there are very quiet beaches,We go to the center of the country: Evora and the region of the Alentejo: grounds with olive tree and cork oaks.Then Southwards to Arifana, there the king Henry the Navigator funded a school for navigators.We arrive later to Lagos from where Portuguese were beginning their travel to Africa and Asia.Then we go to Faro , with a great natural Park de Rio Formosa with a lot a birds and last stop at Tavira, a town which lives from fishing in the Mediterranean Sea and a visit to some salt marshes.
