Hawkins, a tired business man, listens to the call of the soil, and arranges to go on a farm. Mrs. Hawkins, a militant suffragette, gets a job as a policewoman, and proceeds to act the part. Mrs. Hawkins, a militant suffragette, gets a job as a policewoman, and proceeds to act the part. Hawkins has adventures with a ferocious cow, while trying to rob her of her milk, and in the meantime, Policewoman Hawkins manages to help a burglar to escape, while she locks up innocent victims. Policewoman Hawkins is a most efficient officer with her vanity bag and powder puff, while Hawkins creates a furor with his misadventures among the pigs and chickens. Policewoman Hawkins is "roughhoused" while attending to her duties on the force and Hawkins is nearly smothered under a load of hay. Each one gives up the job and they arrive home simultaneously.
