Growing up, Jim's dad had an alcohol problem. Seeing his dad transform into being a saved Christian when Jim was 18, he started going to church then with his family. Jim previously worked in Christian radio like Debra Peppers and now runs the outreach in the inner-city of Davenport called "Timothy's House of Hope". God provided a building in the inner-city of Davenport, Iowa where pastor Jim Swope can minister to the homeless and drug attics by feeding them breakfast, reading to them and leading them to Christ. Jim is now going into public schools asking the principals for the poorest children to help among other community outreach programs. Timothy's House of Hope also has a wall of hope with hundreds of signatures for those they have helped along. Dr. Debra Peppers of St. Louis, MO hosts this half-hour produced program at the WTJR studio in Quincy Illinois, for the Christian Television Network which features guests who inform us of the services provided by the outreach ministry they are representing.
