Teams faced challenges inspired by Hannibal's elephants, returned from Egyptian campaigns, and raced chariots around the arena. The fil rouge, "Les crocodiles du Nil," added comic tension as contestants grappled with the perilous reptiles of the Nile. A visually striking homage to Roman might and mythology.
