Instead of yoga exercises with Jakob, it's now time for detective police work. Heiko Krüger, that's the name of the dead man, was shot with a hunting rifle. Nele and Paul quickly find out that the dead man was actively committed to environmental protection with all his might. In doing so, he also sought confrontation with the building contractor Peter Lorenz, who is also a passionate hunter. Heiko had discovered a rare species of bird on the planned building site for a hotel project, the presence of which would have prevented the construction. To Nele's great horror, her mother Mechthild now also becomes an environmental activist, forcing Paul to go on a special mission...
