Living through such relentless bloodshed has taken a heavy toll on the nation's mental health. More than one third of Iraqi children are thought to have moderate to severe mental illness. This film tells the stories of children and adults who, as a result of extreme trauma, are suffering a severe physical impairment such as the inability to talk or walk and the brave female doctors, social workers and psychiatrists battling against the odds to help heal a nation.
