She ...See moreMrs. Oxford repels the advances of Viscount Monmouth, a man who has nothing else to do save play Don Juan. Her husband's brother, who has been estranged from the family for years, pleads with her to try and effect a reconciliation. She promises that it he will wait for three days, when it will be her husband's birthday, she will try to win her husband's pardon. Viscount Monmouth sees them together and informs Oxford that his wife is meeting a lover and deceiving him. He, convinced against his will, plans the destruction of the couple when next they meet. However, he discovers the truth in time and Viscount Monmouth himself falls into the trap he had caused to be made. Next day Oxford introduces his brother to all the neighbors at the birthday party.
