Mrs Lore Löck, the owner of the dog begins an altercation with Franz Hamacher, who has killed the dog.Rolf Herzog asks Franz Hambacher to be quiet, besides he asks about his gun permit.Then Lore Löck takes Rolf in her car and they go the the village. Att the sawmill Gabi Hambacher sees that her husband is coming, she is bad tempered because Franz has killed the dog of Lore and she is really tired to live with Franz (she has a lover called Rainer Urban).In the night Rolf Herzog goes for supper at the tavern.There Franz Hambacher and some men were playing cards.A man called Alois Unterpaintner comes and reproaches Franz to have betrayed him and to have stolen his forest parcel.Then Alois goes away.Lore Lück explains Rolf what did happen with Alois and Franz.A little later police cars are passing before the inn ,Rolf asks what did happen and the answer is a murder in the sawmill ground.The Dr.Bärbel Siewert who first saw the corpse makes an examination.Rolf comes at the crime scene and says to the policeman to be careful with all that surrounds the corpse.Then Rolf says his name.A police officer has come and asks Rolf Herzog to help him in this murder case.
