They are to support their colleagues in clearing a homeless camp on the Landwehrkanal. Not a pleasant task, but one that Paula Sprenger and Wolf Malletzke finally take on. On site, Paula discovers that the homeless woman she knows, Ruth, who has her regular place to sleep, has disappeared. Paula and Jasmin contact Ruth's daughter Ida Maroth, a local politician who is said to have the best chances of becoming Social Senator. However, it turns out that mother and daughter have not seen each other for years. When a woman's body and traces of blood are suddenly found where Ruth was sleeping, everyone fears the worst.
