Old man Denton catches them kissing and takes Tom in his private office and shows him his will, in which Tom becomes heir only on condition that he marry his father's choice. Tom replies by again kissing Margie. Then Tom receives a letter that his aunt is dead and he inherits $50,000 if he will marry her choice. Tom's mother receives a letter that if Tom marries Martha Sprague he inherits $50,000, but Tom slicks to Margie, and he and Margie are ordered out of the office. Before they leave the office a messenger brings a telegram saying that Margie has inherited about a half million, so Tom marries the highest bidder after all.
