Inside, it takes an ampule of ammonia to rouse Billy to consciousness. Realizing that he's stoned and hungover, Carolee attempts to lecture him, but Billy is belligerent and uncooperative. Carolee eventually retreats, but orders him to attend a family dinner later that evening. Maggie attends to Lori Lynn Walters, a five year old girl with a history of ventricular septal defect. Worried that her cold could be symptomatic of something more severe, Maggie calls Colin for a consult. Mona tells Steve about Nola's nightmares of seeing herself in a coffin and reiterates her desire for Steve to sign the trust fund papers, but when he balks at Nola's manipulations, Mona says she'll have new papers drawn up making Nola the sole executor. Colin examines Lori Lynn and notes her resemblance to his late daughter. Detecting a possible heart murmur, he wants her hospitalized for tests, though her parents insist she remain an outpatient. Steve seeks advice from Colin regarding Nola, and Colin cautions him that if anything should happen to the baby, Mona's heart couldn't withstand a shock. Written by Mark Faulkner See less
