He comes to in a cozy french cabin with a mysterious woman: Madeline, a disillusioned former resistance fighter who helps him recover. After restoring Danny's battlefield radio, they pick up a stray Nazi signal ordering the execution of a few local villagers. Without hesitation, they set out on a rescue mission and successfully evade the Nazi guards - but not before their hideout is compromised and Danny and Madeline fall into a trap from which only one of them can escape.
