His remaining assets are a ticket to a small town and some small change, and wishing to make his exit from the world...See moreDiscouraged and despondent over his failure to secure employment, and without funds, Harry Wilson decides to end his life. His remaining assets are a ticket to a small town and some small change, and wishing to make his exit from the world as quietly as possible, he utilizes the ticket, and goes to the little hotel. A capitalist has been expected in quest of a factory site, and Wilson is suspected as being that gentleman traveling incog. This suspicion is confirmed by the initials on his suitcase, which coincide with those of the moneyed individual. Harry has a royal time and is wined and dined by the land agents. At first he tries to convince them of their error, but they refuse to believe him and wink knowingly. In the meantime the real capitalist has arrived, and to avoid being pestered engages Harry to carry out the deception further. While the eager agents are quarreling among themselves and nearly driving Harry to distraction with their attentions, the capitalist quietly secures the tract he wants at a low figure, and then the denouement takes place. The wrath of the land sharks and the quick change of allegiance of the hotel employees from Harry to the new idol is most laughable and cleverly acted. Harry is handsomely remunerated, and with a new lease of life and reanimated courage starts back to the city to manfully fight life's battle. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
