After their frustrating near-success at the shelter, Philip and Belle must share a suite, the last available room, due to a convention. He treats her to a much-appreciated dinner there, and she assures him of all possible support. The fun is spoiled when Shawn arrives, unannounced, with Claire. Bell scolds his lack of trust, dragging the toddler around and most of all his latest unilateral surprise decision, to apply for the police academy.
