This time, the village policeman Frank Koops received unwelcome support in his investigations: The ministerial official Kramer sent from the state capital did not leave his side to critically examine the capacity utilization of the remote police station. With his mixture of serenity and peasant cunning, Koops finds out what the burglar was looking for and who the restorer really is: It is the sought-after art forger Anna Sorenko, who is hiding herself and a world-famous painting from the Calabrian mafia. Don Moretti soon appears in person in the Harz Mountains to retrieve the multi-million dollar work of art that he had stolen from a museum. Koops is just as unimpressed by the cold-bloodiness of the criminals as he is by the charm of the beautiful forger. As always, the incorruptible village sheriff can rely on his instincts as well as on his colleague Mette and the postman Heiner, who keep their backs at the lead showdown. See less
