He recounts the courageous exploits of his days as a young fighter, for an old woman named Dalu Sangin Mah who wanders into his cave one night as she is about to kill herself. Dalu Sangin Mah realizes Karbala-ye Zal is the same Bakhtiari man who had been in love with her in his youth and had fought over her with the son of Abbas Qoli.
