Yura's father dies in prison, the Chekists, in order to cover their tracks, kill the boy's mother. During the blockade, the grandmother dies, the younger sister, by hook or by crook, manages to be transported to the mainland. Three years later, Yuri, who has already passed the partisan detachment and the front, is imprisoned on false charges.
