Growing up in Israel culminating with his education at Technion and his first exposure to computers at Weitzman Institute. After immigrating to The United States and begun studies at MIT before transferring to Harvard to work with Ivan Sutherland. While in graduate school Danny developed the first real-time visual flight simulator. While at the University of Southern California, where worked for twenty years, he began developing real-time speech over the ARPANET. Cohen worked on several projects for the Department of Defense before working in the private sector at Sun Microsystems.
