The police team is called to the blood-soiled estate of wealthy real estate agent Reinaard Vanderlint, who has disappeared. His widow Margot claims she went ahead to their country retreat. The alarm was cut, but in a way which would have triggered it, while the neighbors heard nothing; the first theory is he staged his own disappearance. Mitch stays there with Margot; she secretly calls the robbers, who she hired for the safe, but allegedly neither expected they would find Reinaard's corps, anyhow robber leader Mathias blackmails her for another 250,000 Euro to stage a hijacking so she can refuse to pay and collect his life insurance, they sneakily pass the money in an envelope at a pharmacy where Mitch kindly drives her, against regulations.
