McSwatt suddenly rises, and folding his newspaper, makes a savage smash at the swarm and begins chasing them around the room, his wife following, shooing her apron after him. Stumbling into the bedroom, McSwatt falls, striking his head against the foot of the bureau, which causes him to lose his senses, and rising, he imagines he sees a large swarm of flies directly in front of him, which he chases to the window and down the street. He passes a woman and makes a smash at her hat with his paper. After numerous other adventures, McSwatt arrives home, where his wife is trying to shoo a miller out of the house. It is night and an officer passing by sees the shadows of the two persons against the curtain. To him it appears that McSwatt is trying to club his wife, and, dashing into the house, he gives the little fellow a hard rap on the head with his club, which restores McSwatt's senses. McSwatt's wife then explains that they have been trying to catch a moth and the policeman, apologizing, bids them good night and goes out. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
