Lauren and Stephanie warn Maggie that the idea to invite Sheila into her home and adopt the baby will backfire. Meanwhile, Sheila informs Mike that James wants to take the baby from her. In the subsequent conversation, Mike suggests to Sheila that James might harbor feelings for her and therefore wants her to be close to him. Ridge criticizes Brooke for letting Rick and Bridget in their belief that he is not really marrying Taylor. Brooke pleads with Ridge to not take this hope from the children. Later, Rick and Bridget surprise their parents with a candlelight dinner.
