They fought for this on road and in court. Satyashodhak Gramin Kashtakari Sabha was the first Tribal organization in India to file a case against Indian Government in Supreme Court for Forest Land Rights of Tribal people. The result of this historic case was in favor of Satyashodhak Gramin Kashtakari Sabha. This victory cleared road of making law regarding Forest Land Rights of Tribal people. Forest Land Act 2006, The Law for tribal and other forest dwellers was approved. But that was not end of tribal struggle. Because multinational Wind Mill Companies are eyeing on the forest lands.
