The Logan children try to cheer up Beth after she tells them that Eric left her. Meanwhile, Eric is frank with Stephanie. He stresses that he is not coming back for romantic reasons but for the sake of the family as they all have to deal with the entrance of Angela into their lives. Stephanie tells Eric that she is happy regardless. Storm feels the urge to warn his father not to take advantage of Beth's pain. Stephen is very understanding of what the end of her romance with Eric means for Beth. He offers his wife comfort. A furious Brooke confronts Stephanie about playing her family like puppets in a game. Stephanie cautions Brooke that she could lose a lot if Ridge ever finds out that she knew the entire time about the identity of Eric's other woman.
