Later, when he is doing his duties as a watchman, he hears the sound of a gong, that scares him. He goes back inside the watchman cabin to see a box of bangles and clothes left there with no indication of who left those things. The next night, Jeevan, one of Ranga's friends is killed by the man making sounds on the gong. The man makes it appear as if Dharma committed the crime.
