Lance, as Jeremy, emphatically dismisses Brubaker's plan to have him followed, arguing that Lance is too smart to fall for it, and it would place himself in more danger. Miriam arrives at the King's Arms wondering why Jeremy didn't contact her as promised. Brian watches Nancy and Lori at the hospital cafeteria. Unaware of who he is, Lori takes an immediate dislike to him, while he completely charms Nancy. Brubaker has an idea that could be confirmed with the museum photo of the Bible. Terry goes to the car to get the auction brochure with the photo and spots an injured Jeremy staggering in the parking lot. He tells her that Lance has switched places with him and begs her to go back in and stop him from leaving with the jewels. Lori is stunned when Brian arrives the apartment for dinner. Russ notices something odd about Jeremy's demeanor. Before leaving, Lance gives Miriam a forceful kiss on the lips, and she realizes who he really is. Just as Terry is going to stop Lance, Felix and Samir step out of the shadows, and thinking that Jeremy is Lance and Terry has been in cahoots with him, they kidnap the pair at gunpoint.
