He hardly needs time to get on well with the security guards and his neighbours in the cell, with whom he extemporises a Christmas choir. C.C., in doubt after a brawl with Augusta, gets worried about knowing if Eden indeed has views on Lionel. Eden reassures him as for the hate which she feels for him. Mason goes to see Kelly and Joe to find out what they know about gold coins found at Lionel's house. Kelly tells him that in the past they were given to Sophia by Lionel, with whom she had a link. Kelly adds that she had thought until then that it was Warren who had stolen them. She continues however thinking that her stepbrother could have a role in the death of Channing Jr. Dominic calls Mason and tells him that Lionel this evening is wearing the same dinner jacket as he wore the evening of the death of Channing. Mason searches the jacket and finds the note slipped in by Dominic there some days before. Discovering traces of blood there, he insists that the police laboratory look at them: the blood is six years old and is the same group as that of Channing. Lionel announces to Mason that he decides to pass on admissions. He arranges before to find Augusta in the room of cross-examination, with a prepared candlelit dinner for this Christmas Eve dinner...
