Nicholas Fox peddles his wares to Jennifer. Mary and Jennifer both want to avoid the dinner that Ted has goaded Mary into having. Ann accompanies Nicholas for an afternoon of culture and coolly resists him at every turn. On the way home, the Hammond lorry is hijacked with the lorry eventually found but not the load. The police strong arm Jim Barker, but when his background check comes clean, and a trusted employee is found to have a criminal history, the investigation turns in a new direction.
