Alice visits the family and Percy becomes attached to her. Bertie is jealous and starts a row. Percy accuses her of flirting with his father and a broken engagement is the result. Alice, sorry that she caused trouble, leaves. The next day the father calls on Bertie to fix matters up. Instead he fixes himself strong in the girl's affections and they are married at the church around the comer. Percy, in the meantime, has been paying attention to Alice and they are engaged.
