While Jamal goes there with Gaby (Mayteana Morales), Lenni (Blaze Berdahl) and Rob (Todd Alexander), as suggested by Lana (Patricia Berry) go to the hotel where her award ceremony will take place in order to get the list of all the guests. The flower "shop" belonged to a weird hippie woman who scared the kids a bit, but at least she provided a copy of the receipt for the flower delivery. Lenni and Rob were told by the concierge that only Lana herself could have the guests list. On their way out to find a public phone to call Lana, Lenni met Stone Harrison (Sam Stoneburner), supporting actor of one of Lana's movies and, by charming him for an autograph, she manages to get his handwriting. In this meantime, Jamal and Gaby work on the paper they've got from the flower saleswoman. Ghostwriter reads something not naturally visible, in a decal in that piece of paper. After some deduction and with the help of a phone book they've come up to a store of wigs. The team tries to collect more handwriting, but Rob is new to this investigation business and, maybe because he comes from a military family environment, he pushes away potential suspects, like Lana's daughter Janine Peretti (Gretchen Krich) and his first husband Alan Charles (John McMartin). Gaby manages to conduct a lighter interrogatory with Alan and thanks to this they find out he still loves Lana after all, excluding him from the suspects list.
