The cattle buyer also comes to the hotel, awaiting the arrival of the cattleman with whom he expects to do business. To the hotel proprietor's wife, Dolly tells her story. Two years ago her father sent her east for an education. There she met and married a young New Yorker, and for this her father, who had planned that she marry another, disowned her. She soon saw that her husband was tiring of her and one night she left him. Since then by degrees, she had been working her way west. Two gamblers discover that the cattle buyer is carrying a large roll of money. They scheme to get it. That night they issue from their room and enter another, the wrong one, Dolly's. Arthur hears her screams and comes to her aid. In the fight that ensues the two card men fall through the banisters to the lobby below, where the sheriff takes them in charge. In Arthur, Dolly finds her husband and soon learns that she erred in believing he was tiring of her. The belated cattleman arrives and overjoyed to find in Dolly, his daughter, is only too glad to offer his forgiveness and congratulations. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
