In august 1916, Jones had enlisted in the Belgian army to fight in the Great War. After all his commanding officers have been wiped out during combat in Flanders, Corporal ' Henri Defense' (Indy's pseudonym) is left in charge of what's left of the 9th Belgian Infantry.
