Wycliffe and his team investigate the shooting of Celia Dawe, an archeology student who was shot in the head while lying in bed and is now in a coma in hospital. She was there on an archaeological dig organized by Professor Faber on land owned by the wealthy mystery novelist David Cleeve. He also owns the cottage in which she was shot. The only clue they have is the sighting of a yellow Metro in the area of the cottage around the time she is believed to have been shot. When a second man, Roger Kitson, is shot they're not sure the two incidents are connected. Finding the yellow car and identifying its owner is key to uncovering the motive for the crimes, a result of something that occurred many years before. Written by garykmcd See less
