Out of sympathy for the colonel, the town's mayor and his daughter decide to convince the colonel that an orphaned boy, the son of one of the six killed, is really his grandson. But the colonel and the boy have gotten off to a bad start and don't like each other. Meanwhile, the mayor also plans to remove guns he's been holding in the cemetery for President Juarez, but has to prevent his bandit cousin and his gang from finding out and stealing them.
