Jim tries to get a job at Shooters while he continues to try to win Samantha's respect, but threatens Billy whom he doesn't approve of. After Kimberly's death, Megan has a strange dream where Kimberly gives her words of wisdom regarding Michael, who is determined to dethrone Peter as Whilshire Hospital's chief of staff to claim the title for himself. Sydney, now bankrupt after losing the lawsuit, comes back to work for Kyle at his restaurant as a waitress, and is later approached by Harry Dean, the greedy insurance scam lawyer, who persuades her to take a fall and injure herself for a new potential lawsuit. Meanwhile, Chelsea has a reunion with her long-lost mother, Denise, (Matt's sister-in-law) who wants Chelsea to come live with her in Paris. Taylor doesn't like what Peter sees in her when she realizes that he's trying to make her into an image of her sister.
