But Michael yet again gets the last laugh again when he blackmails Amanda not to take over his share of Jane's business with an incriminating auto tape of Amanda bad-mouthing Peter's lifestyle. Sydney thinks her romantic night with Jake was a mistake, but he insists on a relationship. Meanwhile, Alison makes up with Susan and asks her to stay, but when she spots her getting intimate with Billy, she gets drunk, insulting and aggressive. Matt runs into his former lover, Jeffrey, who later tells Matt that he has left the Navy because he is HIV positive. After Bruce Teller, the president of D&D, embarrasses Amanda at a business party when he publicly accuses her of unauthorized account actions, Peter secretly suggests to Amanda that she take things at D&D into her own hands.
