Later, the Digidestined fall into one of Etemon's traps, and it's up to Agumon to try to rescue them. However, with all the food he ate earlier he's too slow to fight. Tai keeps on him to digivolve, and eventually, he does, but into a monster named SkullGreymon. Right before he turns on the children, he loses his strength and de-digivolves into Koromon.
