Antonio and Mercedes are looking for ways to get their son out of prison, either through contacts with influence, or through the intervention of the priest Eugenio, who suggests contacting members of the Felipe (popular liberation front). This possibility alerts Herminia and Mercedes, who fear that establishing relationships with anti-Francoists can only harm Toni's precarious situation. Meanwhile, the boy remains incommunicado in the dependencies of the DGS. When the family is most desperate, Marta is released, thanks to the intervention of her father, undersecretary of Agriculture. The young woman promises to intercede to get her father to intervene and get Toni's release. Carlos and his gang, deeply impressed by the arrest of Toni, devise a plan to get him free: The abduction of Dona Carmen Polo. The presence of the woman in the neighborhood to inaugurate a nursery school will give them the opportunity to approach her and, by means of a bait (some plastic collars bought from Cervan), try to take her to her truck.
